@parra86rar this is why I am gay for you

practice practice and practice, and give time it's time. Try different styles, try observing what other artists did on their arts, you can learn a lot by observing. Hails from Brazil

Genuine advice.

1.Your art may look like absolute shit and its fine. My art is a lot worse. But to improve, you need to practice. I made art in 2021 that looked like utter shit. I realized that my art still looks shitty but not as bad as how I used to be.

2.Listen to constructive advice. Commentors may give advice and critique about your art. If it is decontrustive dont listen to them. If its constructive try to listen to them. They may have good advice.

3. Find inspiration in things you like. Edd Gould is my biggest inspiration and has been for 3 years. However I am also inspired by games I love, movies, TV, and people I like.

4. Do not attempt to trace or steal art. I know its well known, but that wont get you progress. Tracing reference sketches is fine cus its helping you learn a pose and you cant own a pose, but if u trace over mine I will bite.

I can't tell if u shitted over my art at the start or not but whatever, these are real good advices, i appreciate em a lot!!

@parra86rar I wasnt. It was just supposed to be like “An artist may be considered horrible by everyone but that is fine, just practice.”

I get it i get it, again thank you!

Sketching is key

Don't burn yourself out

Look for inspirations

It's ok to have references

Have fun with your art

always see if that is going to work out, so sketch and see if you like that before you spend a bunch of time on a art and you dont like it. remember you use a different layer on shading and also, dont make a character completly black, for example: you’re making a black cat but dont make it black, or else you wont see where stuff is suppose to end like the neck to the head and body, and also so you can shade. i stole most of this advice from a guy named peter knetter

Avoid burning yourself out. If you need a break, have one.

Do not shade with an airbrush. Looks plasticy.

if a hang is too long make it a meme and make the hand wiggly

Don't make the outlines too thin or thick.

Thats actually really helpful ty!

I need tips too :(
